Loupe
Loupe is a fuzz pedal based off of the Colorsound Jumbo Tone Bender and named after the band Loop, as the Jumbo fuzz was reportedly a favorite effect contributing to their signature sound.
My take on this circuit offers germanium clipping diodes and additional gain staging for a versatile fuzz effect that ranges from gated and punchy, sharp and articulate, to doom and sustain.
The side toggles offer subtle alterations to the initial gain stage as well as the eq curve of the tone control (Afterglow).
The effect's aluminum enclosure is painted, laser etched, and clear coated.
9v dc center negative power operation.
